Antoshka is a large chain of children's stores in Eastern Europe. This is one of the retail outlets of the RedHead Family Corporation, which also manages Daniel premium segment boutiques and develops a distribution network for imported baby food, occupying a significant market share in its region. The main goal of the retailer is to provide parents with the most complete range of products for growth, safety and child development. The Antoshka team focuses on integrating game mechanics into all communication with its customers.
The company has been on the market for over 25 years and operates a well-established chain of 42 stores and its own online store. To develop and increase its presence in the market as a large retailer, it is important not only to launch new products but also to optimize its internal processes. Antoshka strives to make customers feel comfortable during their shopping experience, so they made the strategic decision to increase the efficiency of inventory management.
To do this, the cloud SaaS solution LEAFIO Inventory Optimization was chosen, which is designed to autonomously forecast, plan demand, automate order generation, replenish on time and keep every level of the supply chain balanced in an environment of low predictability and constant change. Self-regulating AI-based technologies guarantee highly accurate orders, sales growth, inventory turnover improvement and waste reduction. The system ensures a balance between the availability of the required quantity of goods and maintaining a minimum stock of products.
At the beginning of the project, these main goals were set for the implementation of the LEAFIO Inventory Optimization system:
- automation of the inventory management process in the company to reduce human error in sending orders;
- excess stocks decrease;
- reduction of lost sales and increase availability;
- building methodology and creating a tool for analyzing the main KPIs in the field of inventory management.
The project is at the implementation stage. The LEAFIO and Antoshka teams are facing the following tasks:
- set up the data exchange between the inventory system of the retail chain and the LEAFIO Inventory Optimization program;
- train the chain managers in how to use the LEAFIO solution in their daily work;
- connect the product range to the LEAFIO Inventory Optimization system.
At the moment, the first stage of the system implementation has been successfully completed, which included researching the client's business processes and updating the terms of reference for successfully establishing the data exchange. Also, during the first stage, assortment matrices, layout parameters (facing of goods), delivery schedules and supplier data were updated and the “delivery shoulder” parameter was added for further correct work with orders.
The result of the first stage of implementation includes the established exchange of customer data and the LEAFIO Inventory Optimization Platform, as well as a record of the history of the movement of goods from the beginning of 2021, which will further improve the accuracy of predicting the required number of goods for an order.
The second stage of integration has started, which covers training in the full functionality of the LEAFIO Inventory Optimization Solution for Antoshka employees. During this stage, 20% of the assortment was uploaded to the system so that each manager can consolidate theoretical knowledge by forming and sending orders using the LEAFIO platform.
After successfully setting up the order process and scaling to all stores, the client will be referred to the LEAFIO Customer Success department for long-term support. Further, LEAFIO experts will monitor the performance indicators, notify users of future updates, and help resolve issues related to inventory management. In the meantime, active work is underway to implement the system and adapt it to the requirements of the Antoshka chain.
