A regional leader of FMCG, home goods, personal care goods, and cosmetics retail initiated supply chain process and inventory management optimization in order to decrease the operational cost spend. The project objectives included:
- Decrease labor cost;
- Increase operational efficiency;
- Improve turnover;
- Automate Order Generation at the DC and store levels;
- Improve source data quality;
Leafio team has started with the development of the project plan that has included pilot project locations, scaling model and DC replenishment set up. Initially, all purchasing managers were onboarded with the replenishment methodology and solution capabilities. The pilot project was launched and tested successfully allowing Novex to automate 100% of order amount calculations, significantly decrease the time of the new item introduction process, decrease order correction to less than 1%, eliminate manual labor of all orders at the DC's. The number of employees responsible for replenishment has decreased by 31%. The entire process has been scaled to the entire retail chain once the pilot project has proved the efficiency increase.
