Why LEAFIO AI
Healthy U evaluated the platform over an extended period before committing, re-engaging with a newly formed internal team to confirm the fit. The decision followed reference calls with existing LEAFIO AI retail clients, which Healthy U requested specifically to validate results in comparable markets. The retailer cited LEAFIO AI's retail-specific, self-adjusting replenishment logic and its direct integration with its SAP ERP as central to the choice.
LEAFIO AI already serves retailers across the continent, including Melcom Group in Ghana and Carrefour franchise operator LabelVie in Morocco. Healthy U extends that footprint into East Africa.
Scope and Before-State
Before LEAFIO AI, Healthy U's planning team built forecasts and order quantities in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, supported by a weekly Python script that generated minimum/maximum stocking guidance, with no automated replenishment. The retailer sources most goods internationally into a central distribution center, with lead times averaging around ten weeks and reaching up to four months, then replenishes stores on a twice-weekly cycle.
LEAFIO Inventory Optimization now manages demand forecasting, automated replenishment, and inter-store balancing across the full store network. The Shelf Efficiency module is planned for a later phase.

As a newly launched deployment, performance results for Healthy U are not yet available. A comparable LEAFIO Inventory Optimization client, L Cosmetics, a health and beauty retailer in Estonia running the platform across 26 stores and roughly 10,000 SKUs, achieved an approximate 25% sales increase. Healthy U expects comparable gains as the platform replaces its manual process, though market conditions and assortment mix differ.
